I think the most difficult process with this particular book was ensuring enough romantic conflict because the hero is such a sweetheart and likes the heroine from the get-go. So then I envisioned it as a 30,000-word novella, but still, there seemed more story to tell. ![]() Initially, I wrote it as a short novella and realized I couldn’t cover the story I needed to in such a short work. Under my other pen name, I have the first two novellas in a trilogy published. “On Par with a Fairy”, a short novella, was published by Boroughs Publishing Group in 2012. ![]() I’ve learned a lot since then! I moved on to writing other works. In 2008, I began, and finished, my first full-length paranormal romance, which isn’t published. Not until many years later did I decide to try writing fiction again. Wrote a few short stories as well, but I put all of it away to pursue a serious career in science. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a thick enough skin to handle the “comments”. ![]() I wrote my first romance in fifth grade (not kidding!), wrote poetry in high school, and began my first novel in college. ![]()
